Stitch seed closes £2.5m for clinical software

Medtech startup Stitch has raised £2.5m in a seed funding round led by Connect Ventures for its clinical trial software.

Stitch aims to improve participants’ experience in clinical trials by collecting feedback data. This can then be used to improve future trials.

“Patients are the critical participants in clinical trials, but their experience is one of poor communication, frustration and neglect,” said Sitar Teli, managing partner, Connect Ventures.

“It enables sponsors to communicate trial protocol clearly and conveniently; and patients to give feedback on their experience in real-time, improving patient retention and success rates.”

Based in London Stitch was co-founded by CEO Jonathan Moshinsky, COO Mike Sterling and CTO James Allen (pictured) last year.

The Stitch seed funding will be used for hiring and getting more users for the software.

“It’s fantastic to be working with such an exceptional partner, Connect Ventures, who share our vision of a world where each patient on every clinical trial is supported and heard throughout their journey,” said Jonathan Moshinsky, co-founder and CEO, Stitch.

Further participation in the seed round came from Form Ventures, Boost Capital and a number of angel investors.

Last week care home platform Lottie acquired Found, a care home occupancy and customer relationship software for £1.5m.

It also saw patient referrals and clinic management software Blue Zinc be acquired by software provider ClearCourse.
