Autonomous driving software group Oxa will rollout its technology via a partnership with electric vehicle manufacturer Bradshaw EV.
The collaboration will see Google-backed Oxa’s autonomous software integrated with Bradshaw’s line of EVs that will be deployed across a variety of industrial use cases.
The integration of Oxa’s software will initially be in two key platforms offered by Bradshaw: the T800 eight-tonne tow tractor and the Club Car Carryall 500 utility vehicle.
The Oxford-based software group aims to demonstrate the impact that autonomous driving can have in industry. The Carryall 500, for example, will perform autonomous asset monitoring, inspection and data collection in environments such as solar farms, industrial plants and large infrastructure sites.
“Industrial sectors are ideally placed to benefit from Industrial Mobility Automation, today.” said Gavin Jackson, chief executive of Oxa.
“Collaborating with Bradshaw EV allows us to deploy our autonomous technology on trusted vehicle platforms like the T800 and Carryall 500 at scale.
“Together, we are providing businesses with safe, reliable self-driving solutions that directly address operational inefficiencies and challenges, unlocking significant productivity gains across various repetitive mobility and transportation workflows.”
Through the partnership, Oxa will be able to use a single, common interface to integrate its self-driving technology across diverse vehicle types, simplifying the process of fitting future vehicles with the same technology.
Drew Bradshaw, joint managing director at Bradshaw EV, added: “Collaborating with Oxa enables us to offer state-of-the-art autonomous solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and operational resilience for industrial workflows.”
