AI sales business case builder Symbe raises £1.2m

Symbe, a platform that uses AI to create business cases for sales teams, has raised £1.2m in a pre-seed funding round.

The platform aims to cut down the labour-intensive practice of creating business cases, which is a presentation demonstrating the value, terms and metrics of a purchase to clients.

The process typically involves significant manual work analysing data, designing presentation decks and customising the approach to specific clients.

“The ‘business case’ sits at the heart of most B2B purchasing decisions – today more than ever. But the process of creating them has barely changed in recent decades,” said Symbe co-founder and CEO Martin Blinder.

“Companies are selling increasingly impressive, cutting-edge solutions, but often struggle to demonstrate their actual value and are held back by cumbersome sales approaches.”

Symbe aims to resolve this with AI. The platform automates the creation of business cases.

“Teams deserve to have business case tools that are as impressive as the products or services they’re selling,” Blinder added.

The investment round was led by Concept Ventures and included participation from Pact VC, Notion Capital and angel investors from Nodes Ventures.

“Every single company in the world is selling something. But very few have explored how AI and machine learning can turbocharge that process, whilst protecting the trust and personalisation that ultimately help teams win,” said Concept Ventures partner Oliver Kicks.

“Symbe’s technology will usher in a new frontier when it comes to how companies position their offering and ultimately close deals.”

The tool is currently in beta, with around 20 users. The company said it will put the new funding towards refining the final product and expanding the team.
