Cabinet and MPs to hear details of small boats bill that has ‘pushed boundaries of international law’ – UK politics live

Latest updates: Suella Braverman, home secretary, to give statement to MPs about government legislation to stop people crossing Channel

The small boats bill is expected to contain an admission that it may not be compatible with the European convention on human rights. That would take the form of a section 19 (1) (b) statement. The FT’s George Parker has more details on Twitter.
