Scarborough v Darlington delayed after alleged ‘misogynistic remarks’ at official

  • Allegations made at National League game against Darlington
  • Appeal for witnesses after alleged abuse of female official

Scarborough’s National League North game at home against Darlington was delayed for almost 40 minutes amid allegations of abuse aimed at a female official.

The match, which Darlington won 5-2 at the Flamingo Land Stadium to return to the top of the table, kicked off at 1pm but did not finish until about 3.40pm after a 38-minute second-half suspension.
