Cheltenham-based digital workforce management platform Enate has raised £2m in a funding round to fuel the company’s expansion across the UK and beyond.
Enate’s software product is designed to manage hybrid workforces of digital and in-person workers. The platform can be used by enterprises to manage workflows and provides data insights into company performance.
Enate’s no-code service uses intelligent automation, a type of AI technology often used to streamline enterprise operations.
The cash injection comes in the form of a follow-on investment from previous backer Mercia, an asset management firm with a focus on the North of England.
“Enate has been at the forefront of championing the value of process orchestration software, which is reflected in the richness of its technology for the hybrid workforce and the fact they are one of the very few providers who can evidence process orchestration at scale, with proven customer benefits,” said Jason Warren, a partner at Mercia.
“Digitisation initiatives and the need to enable a remote workforce were existing trends that have accelerated further post-pandemic and Enate has a key role to play here.”
Coinciding with the new funding boost is the appointment of a new company CEO, James Hall, who is the founder and former chief executive of robotic process automation (RPA) company Genfour.
“I am delighted that Mercia is delivering on their promise of being a long-term value-add partner to us. Mercia sees the successes clients such as TMF, CapGemini and LBG are having using our technology,” said Hall.
“Enate is becoming ‘the’ platform for clients embarking on digital transformation and intelligent automation at scale and in their operations.”
The company raised £2.2m in an earlier funding round in May 2020 from Mercia.
