AA issues traffic warning for bank holiday weekend as 15m trips planned

The last public holiday of summer comes during a weekend of sport events and festivals such as Reading and Leeds

An amber traffic warning has been issued for this weekend, when an estimated 15m bank holiday leisure trips are scheduled.

The AA published the alert, which is only the second such warning to be issued by the motoring association, because it expects 45% of UK drivers to embark on at least one noncommuting journey between Friday and Monday.
