Police conduct panel finds case to answer against officers who searched British sprinter in front of her baby
Police officers involved in the stop, search and handcuffing of champion athlete Bianca Williams, while her baby was in her car, are to face disciplinary charges that could see them sacked, the Guardian has learned.
An investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct of the July 2020 stop of Williams and her partner, Ricardo dos Santos, has concluded there is a case to answer for gross misconduct against five Metropolitan police officers.
