Met police officer remanded in custody over alleged rape

PC David Carrick is accused of attacking woman in St Albans last year after they met on dating app

A Metropolitan police officer who is accused of raping a woman he met on the dating app Tinder has been remanded in custody.

PC David Carrick, 46, who serves in the parliamentary and diplomatic protection command, was arrested at the weekend after being accused of attacking the woman after they met for drinks in St Albans last year, a court heard.
