AI-powered video commerce platform Unravel lands $7m Series A

An AI-powered video commerce platform has landed $7m in a Series AI funding round.

London-based Unravel is seeking to become the “TikTok of travel” by turning creator content into travel bookings.

Unravel said it will use the funding to enhance its AI capabilities to optimise video-commerce conversions and expand its London-based team, hiring top-tier talent in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The round was led by European B2B software investor Nauta Capital, with participation from Active Partners, Slingshot Ventures (whose largest LP is Kees Koolen, ex-CEO & Chairman of Booking.com) and Olivier Bisserier (ex-CFO, Booking.com).

They are joined by Antler, Nodes, Upscalers, Brook Bay Capital and The Players Fund (whose backers include sports icons Ben Stokes, KL Rahul and Jessica Ennis-Hill), many of which are returning investors in this round.

The platform combines TikTok style video content and AI assistant to produce a “completely new” travel booking experience. The firm partners with some of the world’s most influential travel creators, curating video content which it claims “sparks wanderlust at scale”.

“The way people discover travel has changed. They don’t sift through endless search results—they get inspired by creators who are exploring the world and sharing their experiences,” said Vijay Anand, CEO & Co-Founder of Unravel.

“Unravel bridges that gap, turning creator-shot videos into seamless, AI-powered booking experiences.”

“The rise of TikTok has had a massive influence on the way people experience content on mobile,” added Carles Ferrer, General Partner at Nauta.

“That change has happened in parallel with banks, insurers and telcos adding travel to their list of perks or products offered to customers.

“Unravel has combined both of these market changes, with the addition of an AI booking assistant, to produce an incredibly popular white-label solution for customers looking to add new revenue streams.”
