Two officers barred from serving in police over treatment of Bianca Williams and Ricardo dos Santos
Two Metropolitan police officers who claimed to smell cannabis as they stopped and searched the athletes Bianca Williams and her partner, Ricardo dos Santos, lied and were guilty of gross misconduct, a police disciplinary panel has found.
PC Jonathan Clapham and PC Sam Franks were found by the panel to have lied about smelling cannabis while searching Dos Santos. Three other officers were acquitted of gross misconduct over the same incident.
