Major incident declared at London Luton airport after huge fire breaks out

All flights suspended as emergency services respond to blaze that has engulfed top floor of multi-storey car park

A major incident has been declared at London Luton airport after a huge fire broke out at a car park in the terminal, with all flights being suspended.

Footage posted on social media showed flames and billowing smoke coming from the top floor of the multi-storey car park, along with the sounds of loud explosions and car alarms. Bedfordshire fire and rescue service said the structure had suffered a “significant structural collapse”.
