The Queen’s coffin has left Buckingham Palace on a horse-drawn gun carriage to lie in state for four full days at Westminster Hall as thousands queued to file past to pay their last respects.

As Big Ben tolled every minute, King Charles and his siblings, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex, walked directly to the rear of the coffin, followed by the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Sussex and Peter Phillips, the son of the Princess Royal.
