Sixteen killed and at least 170 injured in Bangladesh depot fire

Massive blaze breaks out at container storage facility 25 miles from country’s main sea port, Chittagong

At least 16 people have been killed and 170 others injured after a huge fire tore through a container depot in southern Bangladesh, officials said on Sunday.

The fire broke out shortly before midnight at a container storage facility in Sitakunda, about 25 miles (40km) from the key port of Chittagong, fire service official Jalal Ahmed said.
