Police doused in petrol while arresting man in Bolton

The man, who was being arrested for domestic violence offences, resisted arrest and also set fire to a property

Police officers were doused in petrol as they tried to arrest a man in Bolton.

The incident, which also saw a property set alight, happened shortly before 11pm on Friday as Greater Manchester police (GMP) attempted to detain the man at a house in Farnworth for recent domestic violence offences.
