Six Degrees Appoints new COO to further accelerate clients’ technological transformations

Six Degrees, a UK-based secure cloud services provider, announced management changes to further propel the company’s growth trajectory.

Chris Abbott joined Six Degrees on 11th October as its Chief Operating Officer. Chris brings to Six Degrees over 20 years of leadership experience in technology-enabled B2B businesses, in disciplines ranging from networking and infrastructure to machining and automation, and electronic identity management systems.

Chris Abbott, COO, Six Degrees, said: “What attracted me to Six Degrees was its commitment to its clients; that really shows in the strength of its portfolio. As our clients continue to pivot their digital transformations in this new, post-pandemic landscape, there really has been no better time for Six Degrees’ unique propositions of security, data and Microsoft Public Cloud solutions. I’m excited to partner with Six Degrees’ client companies in accelerating their technological transformations and truly taking them ‘Beyond Cloud’.”

Chris joins Six Degrees from Tharsus Ltd where, as Managing Director, he established the business architecture which enabled the business’ subsequent significant upscaling. Chris’ previous roles include Global COO for Vision-Box, Vice-President and COO (EMEA) for HPE Enterprise Services, and Managing Director for HP Defence UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Six Degrees CEO Simon Crawley-Trice said: “Chris brings with him a demonstrable track record of organising and mobilising teams in global businesses to deliver at scale. We’re looking forward to the value that his vision, innovation and drive can bring to our people and to our clients.”
