Nory, an AI-powered operating system for hospitality businesses, has raised $16m (£12.6m) in a Series A funding round.
The Dublin and London-based company has built a platform to centralise the key operational data of hospitality businesses.
The Nory platform analyses user data, providing insights for improving efficiency, acting as what the company describes as an “AI venue manager”.
The platform also includes venue demand predictions by the hour, factoring in historical data, seasonal trends, live weather and local event information and staffing.
Nory works with companies including Jamie Oliver Group, Buns from Home and Roasting Plant Coffee.
“The industry is facing challenges and complexities like never before. Operators don’t want more tools and apps that digitise every micro-workflow,” said Nory founder and CEO Conor Sheridan.
“They need technology that can give them real control over their business, their profitability and their destiny.”
The funding round was led by Accel, which last week raised £520m for its latest early-stage European tech investment fund.
“Restaurants are under increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency and productivity. The industry is still under-digitised, with fragmented point solutions that prevent businesses from gaining more granular data insights on their own operations,” said Accel partner Luca Bocchio.
“Nory’s AI-powered operating system provides restaurants with much-needed access to a central, real-time source of truth, which is easy to use and delivers fast ROI.”
The company previously raised £1.5m in a pre-seed round in 2021.
