Customer experience agency Brandwidth has partnered with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers to design and develop a new native mobile app on iOS and Android.
The native mobile app, available now via the App Store and Google Play, will allow users to buy tickets, plan journeys and access the River Guide.
The app will service passengers across 24 piers in London and will include a new feature called “Where’s My Clipper?” that allows users to track boats in real time with additional information such as passenger capacity, displayed through a traffic light system.
“Bringing live tracking to the Thames in a way that mirrors what users expect from rail or bus apps meant solving for a much more complex and fluid environment,” said Andrew Ayling, chief technology officer of Brandwidth.
“We worked closely with the team at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers to ensure the final product is not just functional, but genuinely intuitive and easy to use.”
The company said its app features exclusive ticket types only available from it.
“This app is a huge leap forward for our customers,” added Adrian White, head of marketing and communications at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers.
“Brandwidth helped us reimagine the travel experience, blending intuitive design with advanced features. It is a perfect example of customer-centric innovation, executed with precision.”
