Manchester-based price comparison website, Lending Expert, has been named in a Fintech50 competition, it was announced this week.
The Fintech50 competition which was run by startup news site, TechRound, highlighted the fast-growing and most innovative Fintech companies trading in the UK, which covered areas such as finance, cryptocurrencies, budgeting, savings, pensions and credit cards.
Lending Expert placed 18th in the overall list, with another price comparison site for the armed forces, known as Forces Compare featured 33rd on the list.
Lending Expert was founded by David Beard and has seen tremendous growth in the last year, specifically in the areas of secured lending and second charge mortgages. Borrowers can access free price comparison tables and calculators, with expert advice provided by industry leaders.
The role of price comparison sites continues to be hugely important to UK borrowers. With lending requirements facing uncertainty over covid-19, there is a significant demand for price comparison and brokers who can locate the best deals – particularly in a time where some people need money and financial support.
Lending Expert also helps to compare other products such as credit cards, personal loans and savings products and has helped thousands of customers and borrowers to date.
Other companies mentioned in the TechRound Fintech50 include pension platform, PensionBee, taking the overall top spot. Other notable finalists included smart company card providers, Soldo and Pleo and TechforGood company, RoundUps.
