London Underground: planned tube strikes this week called off

RMT industrial action on Wednesday and Friday will not take place, but Aslef train strike will go ahead

Planned strikes by London Underground workers on Wednesday and Friday have been called off, the RMT union announced.

Its members had been due to strike, closing the tube over plans to reduce staff numbers by up to 600 posts to save costs.
