Scale Computing expands presence in Central & Eastern Europe with new distributor, Bakotech

Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualisation and hyperconverged solutions, today announced its strategic partnership with Bakotech, one of the farthest reaching Value Added IT Distributors in Central and Eastern Europe. The partnership will allow Bakotech to provide Scale Computing’s hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) series, including the HC3, to partners throughout EMEA, especially focused on security, networking and infrastructure. Scale Computing is currently Bakotech’s only HCI vendor and will be well suited to meet Bakotech’s demand throughout Central and Eastern Europe with its EMEA presence in the Netherlands.

Founded in 2003, Bakotech is an international group of companies focused on value added IT distribution that provides solutions from leading IT vendors as well as professional pre-sales, post-sales, marketing and technical support, to partners and their end-customers. The company operates in 26 countries covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Baltic States, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. With its far-reaching presence, Bakotech operates a network of over 1,000 active dealers and is 100% committed to partner and channel-led sales. Scale Computing is the latest addition to this network – giving Bakotech’s dealers the advantage of its edge computing, virtualisation, servers, storage, and backup/disaster recovery solutions in one complete, easy-to-use platform.

With all components built in, including the hypervisor, Scale Computing’s HC3 customers have no need for third-party components or licensing. This all-in-one configuration simplifies management and maintenance, which helps to streamline tasks, saving time and money. This makes the technology ideal for industries that require IT infrastructure with high performance and minimal management, especially during the current uncertain circumstances around COVID-19.

The introduction of Scale Computing into Bakotech’s mostly software-focused range will add a new, innovative hardware platform solution into the distributor’s portfolio, allowing customers fast and easy access to previously untapped virtualisation technology.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our presence into Central and Eastern Europe alongside Bakotech,” commented Thorsten Schäfer, Regional Sales Manager DACH & Eastern Europe at Scale Computing. “The company displays integrity and a strong commitment to teamwork in all that it does and we are so pleased to be a part of that. We are confident that we will work successfully with Bakotech to achieve our common goal of bringing HCI technology to a wider market to meet demand in the channel for affordable, deployable solutions suited to businesses looking to innovate at the edge.”

“We are very excited to welcome Scale Computing as the latest addition to our partner network,” said Jan Romancenko, Managing Director at Bakotech CZ & SK. “Our cooperation with Scale Computing will open new opportunities for our existing partners, as well as attract new partners to our network who have an interest in doing business with the company. As such, we are forecasting a large increase in demand for HCI and edge computing as the digital landscape continues to shift and develop in response to the current climate.”
