Thailand’s former PM Thaksin Shinawatra moved to hospital after first night in jail

The former prime minister was moved after suffering a health problem, hours after he returned to the country following a years-long exile

Thailand’s jailed former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra was moved to a hospital overnight after suffering a health problem on the first night of his detention, just hours after he returned from years of exile, police said.

The status of the health of 74-year-old Thaksin was not immediately clear.
