Scotland yard reopens investigation into party at Conservative party HQ and launches new inquiry about gathering in parliament

Police are reopening an investigation into alleged breaches of Covid regulations at a Christmas party at Conservative headquarters in December 2020 and have launched a new inquiry into a gathering of Tory MPs in parliament in the same month.

However, the Metropolitan police and the Thames Valley force will not be investigating alleged breaches involving Boris Johnson and others at Downing Street and at Chequers between June 2020 and May 2021.
