The presenter ‘lied to people’ at the time about his relationship with an employee, broadcaster says
ITV has said it investigated rumours of a relationship between the presenter Phillip Schofield and an ITV employee that were denied by the pair in early 2020.
A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: “Further to our statement last night, ITV can confirm that when rumours of a relationship between Phillip Schofield and an employee of ITV first began to circulate in early 2020, ITV investigated.
