Cambridge-based OBRIZUM bags £1.8M funding to create AI training programmes for organisations

OBRIZUM, a B2B corporate learning and knowledge management company, has secured $2.4 million (approx £1.8 million) funding in Pre-Series A venture round.

How will the funding be used?

The company will use the funding to expand its UK presence into corporate learning environments that have had to accelerate their digital paths.

Furthermore, the funding will be used to invest in its technology, including new patents being filed to accompany the three patents already held by the company — OBRIZUM (eLearning and analytics software product), OBRIZUM Media (multimedia content production agency), and OBRIZUM X (blended corporate training and conferencing offering).

Overcome shortcomings of traditional education

Founded by Chibeza Agley, Juergen Fink, and Sarra Achouri in 2015, OBRIZUM was created to overcome the flaws of the traditional education system.

The platform powered by AI creates learning programmes in minutes, tailors them to each user’s needs, and provides predictive analytics that can help drive up business performance. Headquartered in Cambridge, the company has satellite offices in London and South Korea.

Chibeza Agley, founder and CEO of OBRIZUM, said: “The funding will play a vital role in helping us scale and transform our product offering. PwC has been a brilliant partner to us, advising expertly on the range of investment options available to us, introducing the right funds to make this happen, and delivering the ideal transaction to continue on our journey. We’re excited to continue to work with the PwC team as we focus on raising our upcoming Series A.”

Glen Waters, Head of PwC Raise | Ventures added: “We are delighted to have supported OBRIZUM in finding the right investor to progress the company’s potential and look forward to seeing Obrizum scale its go-to-market strategy as the product offering seeks to become the accepted corporate learning provider.”
