‘I’m fine and dandy but I’ve lost a bit of my boom,’ says former Europe and North America editor

The former BBC presenter Mark Mardell has revealed he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Mardell, 65, who was the BBC’s Europe and North America editor, said he was first alerted to the symptoms when he struggled to open Waitrose packaging.
