One interesting suggestion from a couple of EU sources — this may not just be a Brussels-London thing. Suggestion that Paris has also been involved in the last minute fish haggling, also holding things up. Not clear to what extent yet.
Here’s a reminder from the Financial Times’ political editor George Parker that this may be the first trade deal in history intended to make trade harder, not easier, than it already is.
