Chinese and Taiwanese warships shadow each other as war games due to wind down

About 20 warships from China and Taiwan sail at close quarters in the Taiwan Strait, as the US calls China drills ‘provocative’

Chinese and Taiwanese warships have shadowed each other in the hours before the scheduled end of four days of unprecedented Chinese military exercises, launched in reaction to a visit to Taiwan by the US House speaker.

Nancy Pelosi’s visit last week to the self-ruled island infuriated China, which responded with test launches of ballistic missiles over the capital, Taipei, for the first time and the cutting of some ties with the United States.
