Boom in EV market: Electric carmaker Fisker bring its vehicles to UK in 2023

California-based Fisker revolutionises the automotive industry by designing and manufacturing the world’s most eco-friendly electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions. Now, the company has announced a new partnership for better after-sales services. Also, it intends to foray into the UK in 2023 and has a strong focus on London.

New partners on board!

Well, Fisker has announced a partnership with Cox Automotive U.K. and Rivus Fleet Solutions. As a result of this partnership, the company will be able to provide complete after-sales services all over the UK.

Being consistent with the asset-light and digital-forward business model of Fisker, the new partners will ensure to provide outsourced solutions spanning across various areas including fleet management, service or maintenance, vehicle delivery, mobile fleet servicing, trade-in, refurbishing, and remarketing.

Fisker Chairman and CEO, Henrik Fisker said, “With recent UK government announcements related to electric vehicles, we believe Fisker will be well placed and well-timed to make significant progress in this important market, supported by Cox and Rivus as essential delivery partners.”

Martin Forbes, president of Cox Automotive International, said, “Fisker will be an exciting addition to the UK market and will be able to take advantage of the full range of physical and digital services we have to support vehicle manufacturers. Our aim is to provide customers with the solutions needed to adapt to this fast-changing marketplace.”

Rivus Managing Director, Michael Scheidler added, “By owning a network of garages across the U.K., Rivus is able to provide the flexibility, scale and quality control that meets the needs of Fisker and their ambitions for the future. We’re already equipped to handle electric vehicles and news of us joining forces with Fisker has created a real buzz within the business”.

Fisker Ocean SUV with Magna

This partnership with Cox and Rivus follows the recent strategic cooperation with Magna International, which supports the co-development and manufacturing of all-electric Fisker Ocean SUV. Estimated to be launched in Q4 2022, the Ocean will be launched by Magna in Europe and will deliver best-in-class range, functional interior space with a third row of seating and a great vehicle performance.

Strong focus on London

The UK is anticipated to be one of the first markets to be open for Fisker after the launch of the Ocean. Earlier this year, the company confirmed that it will open consumer experience centres in leading global cities from 2021 and is expected to open the London experience centre in 2022.
