Exabeam Recognised by Forrester as a Leader in Security Analytics Platform Report

Exabeam receives highest scores possible in 6 of 14 criteria, including ATT&CK Mapping, Custom Detections and Risk Scoring & Prioritisation

Exabeam, the security analytics, and automation company, today announced it has been recognised as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Security Analytics Platforms Q4 2020. The report evaluated 11 security analytics offerings, with Exabeam receiving the report’s highest scores possible in 6 of 14 criteria.

“Midmarket companies and enterprises seeking a modular, yet integrated SA platform with a focus on user behaviour should consider Exabeam,” wrote report authors Joseph Blankenship, VP, research director, and Claire O’Malley, researcher, Forrester Research, Inc.

The Forrester Wave™: Security Analytics Platforms Q4 2020 assesses the current offering, strategy, and market presence of participating vendors. According to the report, the Exabeam Security Management Platform (SMP) “combines integrated analytics, log management, and SOAR that operate as a platform in combination or as standalone solutions. Incidents are largely based on user behaviour and assets, and security analysts are able to view events in timelines for investigation.”

The report authors stated that “Exabeam excels on user experience.” They further state: “Reference customers note usability and insight into individual user behaviours as strengths. They also view the vendor’s pricing strategy as an attractive feature.”

According to the report, “Vendors that can provide customisation, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, and SaaS delivery position themselves to successfully deliver improved detection, faster investigations, and flexibility to their customers.”

The cloud-based Exabeam SMP received the highest scores possible in the Correlation Capabilities, ATT&CK Mapping, Custom Detections, and Risk Scoring & Prioritisation criteria. Within the strategy category, Exabeam received the highest scores possible in the criteria of Planned Enhancements and Performance.

“Exabeam is pleased to be recognised as a leader in the report. We achieved record growth in 2019, eclipsing the growth rate for the SIEM market overall, and adding several hundred new enterprise customers. That momentum has continued in 2020 with our rapid transformation to a SaaS company. Almost all of our new business comes from the Exabeam SaaS Cloud, and more than half of all business comes from organisations adding security analytics to their existing SIEM or other data lakes, proving that customers value a modular approach to security management in a cloud environment,” said Ralph Pisani, president, Exabeam.
