Auth0’s EMEA growth shows durability of IAM sector

Auth0, the identity platform for application teams has doubled its business in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) in the third-quarter over the same period last year. Randstad, Pret A Manger, Nutmeg, Flo Health, Libération, WeTransfer, and DPG Media with its “Streamz” online video-on-demand platform join the hundreds of customers across the region already using the Auth0 platform.

Auth0 provides a platform to authenticate, authorise, and secure access for applications, devices, and users. Security and application teams rely on its simplicity, extensibility, and expertise to make identity work for everyone.

“Randstad has been progressively rolling out the Auth0 solution for identity management, designed to foster collaboration among our 41,000 team members around the world,” said Koen Klaassen, global identity and access management program lead at Randstad. “The Auth0 private cloud solution fits our needs in terms of compliance and scalability, delivering the right level of performance and control.”

Auth0’s growth benefits from the success of its modular, “building block” approach, which helps customers and developers to customise identity capabilities for their exact use case. The September launch of Auth0 Marketplace provides further extensibility by introducing native third-party solutions from technology partners including regional companies like Onfido, MyLife Digital, and Scaled Access.

Additionally, channel partners are contributing to the adoption of the Auth0 platform in the EMEA region. Auth0 has concluded agreements with new partners across EMEA, including CMS Distribution in the UK and systems integrator Devoteam in France, who have joined 30 regional partners already offering the Auth0 platform.

“Devoteam measures its success by enabling customers to unlock greater value in their digital transformation projects,” said Karim Bouami, digital identity and trust service director, Devoteam. “When identity management is a critical part of these projects, Auth0 brings a solid solution to support customers in those transformations, improving security without sacrificing engagement or experience.”

Auth0 continues to scale its regional footprint to accompany increases in customer demand, increasing regional headcount to 139 in the third quarter, up more than 50% from the same period last year. With employees based across the EMEA region, Auth0 maintains a strong culture of remote working, which predates Covid-19 confinement periods in the region.

“Our seamless transition in and out of remote working scenarios has helped keep our focus on serving our customers this year,” observed Steven Rees-Pullman, SVP International, Auth0. “As we continue to evolve our offering and our organisation to reflect demand, we aim to become a trusted local partner for each and every one of our customers across the region.”

Auth0’s regional footprint is underpinned by the strength of its technical teams, who engage with thousands of developers through a broad program of conferences, videos, and content. “Europe sets itself apart as a strategic region for engineering talent, and as a software company, Auth0 is proud of our highly-skilled engineers and designers,” said Carolyn Moore, SVP People of Auth0.

In October, the prestigious KuppingerCole KCLive Award for Customer Authentication was presented to Auth0’s customer Signify for outstanding customer experience. Auth0 has also been named to the 2020 Forbes Cloud 100 for the third consecutive year.
