South Korea’s military Joint Chiefs of Staff says the regime has fired ‘unidentified projectiles into the East Sea’

North Korea has fired what could be a ballistic missile, Japan’s Coast Guard reported early on Wednesday, the first such test by Pyongyang in the New Year.

South Korea’s military Joint Chiefs of Staff said the regime had fired “unidentified projectiles into the East Sea”, without immediately giving further details.
