Shipster named Triple Finalists in Tech Awards

Manchester-based Software Company Nominated For Triple Awards In Tech

Shipping software platform, Shipster, has recently been nominated for three different awards, all within the tech field.

The Manchester-based software company has been announced as a finalist for the Prolific North Tech Awards, The UK eCommerce Awards, as well as The Engage Awards.

Shipster, part of Oddsphere Ltd, is a shipping platform, with custom integrations, allowing e-Commerce companies the ability to completely personalise their shipping rules. During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit changes, the company adapted quickly, seeing unprecedented growth and achievements.

During this time, the team rolled out a successful new “post-Brexit” version of the Shipster software and continued to offer free additional shipping licenses and installations to clients who supplied PPE and medical equipment.

All this hard work paid off, showcased by their recent award nominations.

Shipster has been shortlisted as ‘Small Tech Company of the Year’ for the Prolific North Awards, which are due to take place on 21st October. Shipster was also shortlisted for ‘UK eCommerce Software of the Year” at the UK eCommerce Awards, and most recently, the company has been nominated for ‘Most Effective Remote Working Programme’ at The Engage Awards.

Like many companies over the past 18 months, the company had to make numerous changes to how they worked, as well as deal with the surge in demand that their eCommerce clients experienced too. This meant an increased need for support within the team (and new hires during remote working).

This meant creating a ‘plug-in-and-play’ setup, ensuring that anyone working from home could seamlessly switch between their office desktop and laptop, with minimal disruption to workflow.

The solutions and hard work have certainly paid off, with these recent award nominations solidifying their success.

Tony Cheetham, Director at Shipster, said: “One nomination was amazing to receive – but three within the last few months has really bolstered the team’s spirit.
“Although awards aren’t everything, it’s a fantastic achievement and helps us to recognise the hard work and dedication of the team. We’re also extremely proud to be nominated next to so many great names in tech.”

Shipster Director, Hayley Cowburn, added: “The company has grown rapidly recently, thanks to the team’s ability to adapt to different situations and develop new integrations and tech.

“This is a fantastic achievement in itself and the team should be very proud of themselves.”

Director, Damian Donnelly, commented: “We’re focused on innovation and serving our clients. We’re constantly adapting and building new integrations that are future-proofed, which is integral for the likes of Brexit and working through a pandemic. This is great news for Shipster and all down to the hard work of our amazing team.”
