Semcon acquires Tedsys and further strengthens its digital offering

Semcon is acquiring Swedish IT company Tedsys AB. With its expertise in system development, it further strengthens the Group’s digital offering and becomes an important part of Semcon’s growing activities in southern Sweden.

“It feels great to welcome yet more talented colleagues into the Semcon family. Tedsys’s competence adds an important piece to the puzzle in our efforts to convert technology into valuable end user experiences and to combine digital and physical solutions”, says Markus Granlund, President & CEO, Semcon.

Tedsys’s employees primarily add strong expertise in system development, application development, and embedded systems development. The company has around 50 employees who are based in Malmö, and its customers include a number of well-established actors in a range of different industries. The business will become part of Semcon’s Engineering & Digital Services business area and will further strengthen Semcon’s digital offering with a strong presence in southern Sweden.

“We are very happy to become part of the Semcon Group and to be the hub for software development in the Malmö/Lund area. Semcon gives us the opportunity to work with customers and projects we could not reach on our own, and we also have the opportunity for skills exchange with other talented experts”, says Tedsys’s CEO Jonas Hedre.

Tedsys was founded in 2005 and had net sales of SEK 50 million during financial year 2020/2021. The acquisition will be consolidated into Semcon as of 1 October 2021.
