The idea of remote work has become the norm, and so many more companies are deciding to hire remote-only talent – which is great news! Senior Software Engineer (Python, Odoo), Weezy 

Weezy is the UK’s leading on-demand supermarket. Their mission is to deliver life-essentials, creating ever more happy and spontaneous moments at home. They’re doing this by delivering groceries, including fresh fruit and veg, cupboard staples, pharmacy, alcohol, personal care and cleaning products in under 15 minutes. Behind the scenes, they’re building a network of fulfilment centres across London, the UK and beyond, each staffed with Weezy customer delivery reps who pick, pack and deliver customers’ orders. 

You’ll be one of the early engineers at Weezy, so will get a lot of opportunity and ownership from day 1. They are looking to build a great engineering team, following best practices and principles, working well together and learning lots along the way. They will be forming teams in the tribes and squads formation that has been successful for many other companies, and looking at iterating and improving engineering teams, whilst building amazing products which customers will love. 

You’ll help improve and scale Weezy from where it is now to being a best-in-class service for millions of customers who’ll be loving using the service every day. You’ll work with the team to build new product features, focusing on the backend. For example, you might implement the backend of a new inventory management system to empower the ops team. Every day you will improve the performance and reliability of Weezy’s backend and infrastructure, like databases and the system that synchronises product quantities. 

Senior Software Engineer (JoinOCI-SDE), Oracle 

As Oracle expands and grows their team, they’re seeking engineers with varying levels of experience. Those who are starting their career and those who join with more experience will have diverse skills across programming, networking, storage, internet protocols and operating systems.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. You will need to be fully competent in your own area of expertise, as you may have a project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. A BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area is required, along with 4 years of software engineering or related experience. 

Business Intelligence Analyst, Zeelo 

Zeelo is on a mission to build the world’s leading smart mobility platform for organisations, enabling access to safe and sustainable transportation for everyday journeys. They sell turnkey, managed and software commuter solutions to employers and schools. They have developed a best-in-class technology platform that connects organisations with riders and operator partners consisting of a route optimisation platform, mobile apps and operations management system. They’re just over 4 years old, backed by over £14 million of venture capital from ETF Partners, InMotion Ventures, and Dynamo. They are a team of 60+ across 3 continents (Europe, North America & Africa), 4 offices (London, Barcelona, Boston and Durban) and live in 3 markets (UK, U.S. and South Africa).  

The successful candidate in this role will work with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, using the Looker platform and other tools to develop and maintain the capabilities to aid them in their day-to-day decision making.  

They will support the growth team (customer success) to understand the reporting needs of clients and to develop solutions for their requirements, while also supporting the growth team by using service performance data and an RINA route optimisation tool to design and optimise services to improve value for money for our clients. 

The candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to identify and help to solve key business problems, such as pricing strategies. They will also provide supporting functions such as finance to report on the success of projects and build more accurate forecasting models  Over time, they will work with the engineering team and wider data team to integrate the other sources of data and analytics collected to build a more rounded understanding of the business goals.
