Malfunctioning NHS app for Covid vaccine status causes travel delays

Problems accessing Covid pass cause travellers to be turned away from flight and ferry

England’s NHS app that lets people prove their vaccine status is not working for some users, a problem that could cause havoc for those who need it for foreign travel or to gain access to domestic venues and events.

An error message when people try to access their Covid pass, which normally features a QR code and details about which jabs they have had, simply displayed the message: “Please try again later.”
