Minna Technologies, a Swedish subscription management software tool works with the mission to help retail banks deliver powerful digital experiences. In a recent development, the company announced that it is launching its hub in London.
New hub in London
This announcement follows the recent partnered of Minna Technologies with London-based fintech Bud. Earlier this year, the company raised nearly £14 million in a Series B funding led by UK-based Element Ventures and Visa.
Apart from launching a hub in London, Minna also announced strategic hires and relocations including the appointment of Mike Davies with senior roles at GoCardless, PayPal, VeriSign and Visa as Chief Commercial Officer and Steve Hoy from Thought Machine as Head of Strategic Partnerships. Also, Minna transferred its CFO Navpreet Randhawa from Sweden to London.
CEO Joakim Sjoblom noted: “The UK is a strong launchpad not just into European markets but it also acts as a bridge to our key expansion markets of the United States and Australia. The talent pool remains unparalleled, the digital ecosystem strong, and the institutional financial knowledge exceptional. We also recognise the value of the investment community. According to FinTech Industry Body Innovate Finance, UK FinTech attracts $4.1bn in venture capital and ranks second globally, only behind the US for smart capital looking to scale businesses.”
Customers have complete control
Founded in 2016 by Joakim Sjöblom, Jonas Karles, and Marcus Lönnberg, the company provides subscription management solutions to retail banks across Europe. Notably, Minna gives complete control to customers as they can manage subscription services from their bank’s app. It just takes a single click to end a subscription. The app notifies them about free trials and prevents them from paying unnecessarily. Also, it lets them find better deals.
