London-based Mojo, world’s first app to help men get smart about sexual health raises £3.25M

In today’s time, erectile dysfunction affects nearly 30 percent men under 30 years and 40 percent men struggle with premature ejaculation. Despite the huge number of men struggling from these issues, there has been very little innovation in the sexual wellbeing space. While there are medication first solutions that claim to address sexial issues, there is no long-term solution for men affected by issues like ED.

This is where Mojo comes as a great rescue as it joins the dots between psychology and technology. It carries the credits of being the first app dedicated to promote a medication-free approach to men’s sexual wellbeing. Mojo has partnered with some of the most renowned psychosexual experts in Europe and America, including London based Silva Neves and Cyndi Darnell from New York.

Easy to access sexual wellbeing expert

In a recent development, London-based men’s sexual wellbeing app has raised £3.25 million in seed Funding, thereby bringing the total investment raised by it to £3.65 million.

The investment round was co-led by Kindred Capital, one of London’s most active first cheque funds, and Octopus Ventures, one of the most active European healthtech investors. Also, angel investors, including a European founder-rich line up of Tom Blomfield (Monzo), Julien Callede (Made.com), Ian Hogarth (SongKick), Freddy Macnamara (Cuvva), Alex Rose (Let’s Do This) and Errol Damelin (Wonga) took part in the round.

Mojo will use the proceeds of this round to build an intuitive and personalised solution that acts as the sexual wellbeing expert in your pocket. It revolutionises the way men deal with their sexual issues will help the app continue its impressive growth trajectory which has close to 50,000 users in 36 countries worldwide.

Angus Barge Co-Founder of Mojo said: “Sexual wellbeing is the next frontier in personal care and this investment allows us to build a product that will change the lives of billions. Our investors and members have proved to be passionate early believers and we feel extremely privileged to have them on side. ”

Kamran Adle, health investor at Octopus Ventures commented: “Taboo areas within health continue to be a key area of interest for us, as there is often high latent demand due to decades of underinvestment. Men’s sexual health is a perfect example of this, creating a huge opportunity for Mojo to challenge the stigma and move beyond pills to a much broader, sustainable and scalable solution. We’re very excited to be working with Angus, Xander, and the team on their journey.”

Maria Palma, General Partner at Kindred said: “We deeply believe that the strong founding team at Mojo can redefine the conversation around male sexuality and vulnerability. It is clear from their early evangelical user base that they have created a product which resonates with men all over the world and helps them transform their confidence, relationships, and their everyday lives.”

Tom Blomfield, Co-Founder of Monzo and Mojo investor added: “I’m proud to be supporting a company that is helping men maintain happy and healthy sex lives without resorting to medication.”

One-of-a-kind app

Founded by Angus Barge and Xander Gilbert in 2019, the Mojo app is a quarterly subscription service providing access to professional resources that are unobtainable for most. Acting as a virtual coach, Mojo strives to encourage men to reclaim their erections and have their sexual issues resolved without resulting to a medication first approach.

For the first time the app lets individuals resolve intimate issues from the comfort and privacy of their own home. With the subscription service, the Mojo app provides individuals with instant access to DIY exercises and techniques from world-class sexual wellbeing professionals.
