Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak will not isolate after being ‘pinged’, says No 10

Prime minister and chancellor were both contacted by NHS track and trace after Sajid Javid tested positive

Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak are part of a pilot scheme that means that they will not have to self-isolate despite being “pinged” by the health secretary, Sajid Javid, who has tested positive for coronavirus, according to Downing Street.

The prime minister and the chancellor of the exchequer were both contacted by NHS test and trace as contacts of Javid, according to a spokesperson for No 10.
