London-based OnePlan bags £2.75M funding to expand its ultimate event and venue platform

London-based OnePlan is a platform that enables planning and mapping events on one easy-to-use platform and creates a fully interactive 3D Venue Twin of the arena or stadium. Now, the platform bagged $3.8 million (nearly £2.75 million) in Series A funding.

The investment round was led by Pembroke VCT, a British VC firm and Eppes Creek Ventures, a consortium of leading investors from fields of finance, sports, music, and entertainment. The funds will let OnePlan expand its team, accelerate growth, develop new products and scale internationally.

“We’re excited to start the next leg of our journey with an amazing team of investors who share our vision for OnePlan,” said Paul Foster, Founder and CEO of OnePlan, who has also advised Interpol, FIFA World Cups, F1, Commonwealth Games and the upcoming Paris 2024. “Above all, we’re passionate about continuing to help our customers create amazing events in a simpler and more efficient way.”

Ultimate event and venue platform

Founded in 2019 by Paul Foster, OnePlan works with the mission to excite and delight event planners across the world with intuitive and easy-to-use tools that dramatically simplify and enhance every step of the planning process, at an affordable price for all. It streamlines the design and production process through the world’s best selection of 2D, 3D, satellite, and aerial maps, providing real-time collaboration.

For venue owners, OnePlan unlocks huge operational and commercial benefits through a hyper-realistic, fly-through-able Venue Twin of any stadium or arena. Its clientele includes Arsenal F.C., Chelsea F.C. and the Brooklyn Nets, and Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada. To date, over 2000 events across 50 countries have used OnePlan’s ultimate event and venue platform.

Gains traction post-pandemic

OnePlan, used by music festivals, motorsport, the NBA, and English Premier League clubs, gains importance post-COVID reopenings. Its Social Distancing Toolkit designs vaccine passport checks and COVID tests, calculates crowd flows, and plans social distancing and seating assignments.

The Venue Twin duplicates every aspect of a stadium or arena in 3D, enabling organisers to fly-through a space and optimise fan experience using Seat and Suite Views. Broadcasters and sponsors can test sightlines and signage. What’s interesting is that it lets organisers even test the effects of a sudden rainstorm.
