Automated prescription machine providers further strengthen management team

A Made in Britain certified automated prescription machine provider has further strengthened its senior management team to assist with increased demand.

MedPoint, a National Pharmacy Association business partner, has appointed, Lancashire based Helene Fisher as sales manager.

Helene has over 20 years of sales experience, including 15 years in pharmacy solutions and medical technology. She joins a senior management team with over 100 years of combined healthcare and technology experience.

The MedPoint team recently appointed Staffordshire based Gill Collins as managing director to oversee expansion plans. In recent months demand has increased across the UK with 24/7 MedPoint installations in Glasgow, Sunderland, Tavistock and Tamworth in the past couple of weeks.

Helene said: “I’m delighted to join MedPoint during an exciting period of growth. Our mission is to support pharmacies and healthcare organisations to stay competitive and increase revenue by offering 24/7 automated prescription collection via a MedPoint machine.

“We’re looking forward to working with more pharmacies and healthcare providers across the UK. I’ll be overseeing our relationships and sales opportunities, ensuring that organisations who may benefit from a MedPoint, know of our products and the benefits.

“With the installation of a MedPoint, we can help pharmacies and healthcare providers embrace digital technology, future-proof and adapt their businesses within the ever-changing world of healthcare.

“Ultimately, MedPoint machines help healthcare providers save time, work more efficiently, and offer their customers convenience by reducing the need for manual prescription dispensary.”

24/7 MedPoint machines can be installed into varying spaces including shop fronts, within buildings and open space thanks to the freestanding MedPoint Solo.

The MedPoint Solo, a fully temperature-controlled unit, was designed as a bespoke Covid-19 solution. The machine has been awarded InnovateUK funding to develop the concept further.

Gill Collins, managing director at MedPoint added: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for MedPoint and we’re very pleased to have Helene, with her sector expertise and industry knowledge, onboard.

“We have many prospective opportunities and are hard at work building relationships across the UK, as well as exploring global opportunities too.”
