Totalmobile apps support Allianz motor engineers on the go

Allianz streamlines motor claim journey with mobile workforce and dynamic scheduling applications

Totalmobile, the UK leader in Field Service Management Software Solutions, has announced it has been selected by international insurance provider, Allianz, to deploy its Mobilise and Optimise solutions to support Allianz’s motor engineers when they are out in the field. The applications make it easier to schedule repairs and for business vehicle insurance claims to be processed more quickly, while keeping customers better informed, which is expected to lead to greater satisfaction.

Totalmobile’s mobile workforce management solutions empower staff to capture intelligent data and access the key information required to deliver services efficiently. Mobilise allows employees to capture and access data on the go, while Optimise supports efficient scheduling, and both integrate directly with Allianz’s claims handling system. In the event of an accident, an Allianz handler can raise a claim and immediately deploy an engineer to assess damage. Throughout the claims process, works can easily be scheduled, from initial call out to repairs and salvage.

Data collected by motor engineers is automatically synced to back offices, removing the need to manually re-key information or duplicate engineering and admin tasks. Accurate, up-to-date data is easily available for compliance purposes, but also to keep customers informed about the progress of their claim. Customers receive SMS updates about the next stages of their claim; for example, they know the name of their engineer and when they’re due to arrive.

The solution is designed to be practical for motor engineers and also to enhance customer service. Many different stakeholders can be involved in a single claim, so efficient scheduling can significantly improve the claims experience. By optimising the engineers’ workflow and inspection routing, the system speeds up the lifecycle of the claim, leading to better customer outcomes.

After deploying Totalmobile’s applications, Allianz won ‘Transformation Project of the Year’ at the 2020 Association for Project Management Awards for successfully delivering mobile workflow technology.

Graeme Chisnall, IT Delivery Manager at Allianz Insurance said: “By rolling out the Mobilise and Optimise applications, we’ve reduced admin and paperwork, and improved workflows and data visibility. It is more practical for our motor engineers and it makes a concrete difference to our customers’ claims experience.”

Jim Darragh, CEO at Totalmobile comments: “Our Mobilise and Optimise solutions enable us to provide a tailored solution that utilises cloud-based mobile capture and scheduling capabilities to meet the needs of Allianz’s motor claims handling division. This has allowed the organisation to deliver more value to its customers, reducing the average time it takes to complete a claim.”
