Dept launches a commerce solution to help brands sell online in just three weeks

International digital agency Dept has teamed up with Salesforce to develop a quick-launch commerce solution that enables brands to be up and running with a fully-functioning e-commerce site in just three weeks.

Designed to support direct-to-consumer brands, the solution is ideal for manufacturers looking to rapidly launch or evolve their D2C commerce channels. With 100 SKUs supported and fully customisable features, it can scale as needed when new product lines are launched or international markets entered.

Katy White, Client Director at Dept, said: “The solution Dept has created is an ideal fit for businesses looking to quickly launch an international commerce offering. The rapid time to market ensures brands can quickly open new revenue streams, and provides a solid foundation for future enhancements as the channel grows. Salesforce Commerce Cloud is the most robust commerce platform on the market; this quick launch solution is an affordable way to utilise this best-of-breed platform. It enables brands to be future-ready, creating the potential to grow a 360 view of the customer by integrating marketing automation and Service Cloud, as and when the business is ready.”

The solution is a complete commerce toolkit, with all the functionality needed to fulfill orders online. With all essential apps, such as Adyen payment gateway, and managed services included, plus support in finding a logistics provider, it’s never been easier for companies to launch an owned commerce channel.

The solution makes the most of the core features of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, with optimised Storefront Reference Architecture delivering best practice in site design, merchandising, and technical architecture. With a themeable storefront, including product listings and description pages, and fully customisable design assets, the sites may be out-of-the-box, but look fully on-brand and bespoke. Constructing the site is simple; the build and deployment process can be completed in just three clicks.

Eva Heffernan, Vice-President Commerce Cloud Sales at Salesforce said: “In the current climate, it is imperative that businesses move quickly to capitalise on the rapid increase in online commerce and create digital experiences that resonate with their customers. This quick start solution enables brands to grow, while maintaining stability and performance on the world’s most trusted commerce platform. It is the building blocks for long term success. Dept is vastly experienced in developing Salesforce’s suite of solutions; the agency’s full service offering ensures brands can maximise the potential of their technology investment.”

With over 250 Salesforce projects delivered for brands including Bugaboo, Weber, Birkenstock and Canyon, and a team of 1500 digital experts in 13 markets across Europe and the Americas, Dept’s full service offering makes it a go-to partner for international brands looking to accelerate their digital business and maximise their commerce potential.
