Spotless Water, a Dorset-based startup that supplies ultra-pure water (UPW) for cleaning equipment, has secured a £3.6m investment.
UPW is water that has undergone extreme purification methods to remove all minerals. UPW is used for cleaning specialist equipment, such as solar panels, due to the lack of mineral deposits left after drying.
Founded in 2016, Spotless Water claims to be the only eco-solution for the UPW sector.
The Dorset-based firm distributes its UPW via self-service dispensing stations powered by the company’s in-house automation software.
“With this new investment in place, Spotless Water can continue to lead the UPW vanguard and provide even more customers with an efficient, accessible, eco-friendly solution,” said company CEO Tim Morris.
The funding came from YFM Equity Partners, a Leeds-based investor that this month led the £8.7m round for EV charging point startup Fuuse.
“Spotless Water has demonstrated how grassroots ventures with original ideas and propositions can prosper, especially when powered by proprietary technology,” said YFM investment director Helen Villiers.
“We look forward to being part of the company’s new growth journey as it replicates its success to date and expands its sites across the UK.”
In 2020, Spotless Water raised £550,000 in an investment from Blackfinch.
